UNILORIN DEPARTMENTAL CUT OFF MARK: Many aspirants are really concerned asking many questions about Unilorin cut off marks for the departmental Courses of University Of ILORIN (Unilorin).

Some of the questions they are asking are, what is the Unilorin departmental cut off mark for all courses this year 2020/2021? Some is even asking about the Unilorin Jamb cut off mark. most of the questions asked into various departmental courses cut off mark in a particular University is been posted here.

University Of ILORIN (Unilorin)  popularly also known as Unilorin has released its cut off mark for all courses. The school official Unilorin cut off mark for UTME is 180, as stipulated by JAMB because the Uni does not really have a specific cut off mark for courses.

However, candidates who have scored a minimum of one 180 in UTME examination are eligible to apply for admission into any of their choice courses. The new point system is used for calculating scores and also screening students

This is to inform Prospective candidates who Unilorin is their school of choice, that they are to choose less competitive courses if their marks are low, so as to gain admission into the University Due to the high number of students wishing to study at the University Of ILORIN, the admission processes is competitive and admission is given base on calculation of JAMB score and post utme score.

Meaning of Cut Off Mark?

cut Off Mark simply means a minimum point that a school fixed for any candidate who is applying for admission in the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and or Post-Utme/Screening Exercise in order to be accepted for admission into the particular school he/she chooses.

NOTE THAT:

The First phase of the screening is before the admission lists batch released.

  1. It is often important that all candidates arrive early and locate his/her screening venue early.
  2. All candidate modes of Screening Exercise will not be a Computer Based Test(CBT) but rather they will be screen on the JAMB scores and their SSCE results.
  3. all aspirants should be informed that Unilorin holds her admission screening exercises within a week or a couple of weeks and it usually comes in two phases. Students who applied to study in the school are to proceed for the pre-screening exercise when once it is being announced.
  4. The Documents required for the pre-screening exercise are SSCE result and JAMB registration print out only.

The second phase of the screening is after the admission lists might have been released. Candidates who have merited the admission will be invited for another screening exercise. Here all documents such as;

  1. Original copies of their educational qualifications (Statements of Results/Certificates).
    N/B: Cases of awaiting results will NOT be accepted.
  2. Birth Certification/Age Declaration.
  3. A letter of good conduct from your Village Head or a responsible member of your
    community/or civil servant not below Grade Level 10 or equivalent in the private sector.
  4. Certificate of Local Government of origin; and this notification of admission status
    slip

    • Unilorin uses Post Utme combine with your Jamb result to access your admission…. They don’t do screening, where by your Waec grade will be of great value.

  • What I can only say on this is about my own admission, I m one of d aspirant from 2020/ 2021 through direct entry wit an upper division from Kwara state polytechnic and have not been given admission. D course I chosen is political science. Pls what will av delay my admission? or is admission over for this year? Is there no hope at all?
